Back in 2017, Irene and Veronica came together every Sunday for an outdoor adventure. Their mission was simple: to empower women to get outside and explore. Through their efforts, they established an amazing bond and a passion for hiking. As they progressed, they wanted to share their love of the outdoors and building relationships with others. Thus, Girl, Take a Hike was formed!

Initially, Girl Take a Hike was set up as a Facebook group, through which Irene and Veronica organized weekly Sunday hikes, inviting female friends and family members. With each passing week, the invitations increased. The number of trails that they explored increased. And their knowledge of the outdoor/hiking life increased as well. Fast forward to today, Girl, Take a Hike (Arizona) Facebook page has over 3,000 members, and that number continues to grow. 

GTAH believes that everyone starts off somewhere and that "No One Gets Left Behind." No matter your level of experience, someone will always be with you to ensure you are safe and having a great time.
